Obituary of Stephen Walter Koswoski

Steve Koswoski, a life-long resident of Willow Grove, PA, unexpectedly passed away on December 31, 2021. He was born on January 24, 1949, in Abington, PA, to Gene C. and Stephen A. Koswoski of Willow Grove. Steven, also known to his friends as Kos, was loved by all who knew him. He was a kind and honest man with a good sense of humor. He had a friendly personality that everyone wanted to be around and was always close with his family. Steve was an avid golfer and spent most of his time on the golf course with his friends. Steve graduated from Upper Moreland High School in 1967 and attended Montgomery County Community College before he joined the Navy in 1969. While in the Navy, he spent time stationed in the Antarctic Development Squadron. After the Navy, Steve worked at Layman & Russ Machine in Oreland, PA for 25 years as a Machinist. From 2000-2013, Steve worked at Custom Manufacturing, Gordon Supply and Auto Plus. Steve is survived by his family, Danielle H. Downs, Debbie, Bob, Bobby, and Kenny McArthur, David, Peggy, Nicholas, Becky and Ryan Downs. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 6, 2022, Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Road, Abington, PA, where friends will be received from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
