My favorite memories of my grandmother are at the beach in Ocean City, NJ. My grandmother loved bringing the entire family together for a week down the shore. It was a week filled with playing in the ocean, drinking birch beer, eating pizza and our special family dinner night. We always had one night that the family went out for a nice dinner and as my Grandma would always say "everybody can get what they want". Now a favorite saying of my Father :). Every year it was a time filled with love and laughter. I hope to continue this tradition with my family and bring them the same joy that my Grandma always brought to me. Joan Humphreys was truly a special women. She loved my Grandpa deeply and cared so much for her family and everyone around her. She brought a light into any room and told the best stories (never just once!). I strive to be half the woman she was and so lucky to have had her in my life so long. I know you and Grandpa are dancing up in heaven. I love you so much, Grandma. -Kat (Humphreys) Levy
