I couldn't have asked for a better mother. My beautiful, kind, thoughtful (and so many complimentary adjectives) mom worked so hard to make sure we were provided for...and that wasn't always an easy task for her. But Mom never gave up and she really and truly offered the best to us that she could give, and I will forever be grateful that Doris Elaine Burlock Clegg was and is my mother. I miss her so much, but I know beyond any doubt, that Mom and Linda are reunited, and I just think of all the beautiful flowers that they are cultivating and walking among and the laughter, shenanigans and love that the two of them are sharing - with each other and with us. Keep your eyes and ears open and trust in that which is unseen. Thank you for everything, Mom. I am grateful for everything and I will love you forever.

We had the pleasure to meet Doris in Mendham, NJ, when she lived with her daughter Pam and family. Doris was an inspiring woman who had a lot of wisdom and empathy for other people. The stories about her life were full of humor, resilience and kindness. Her light will shine on.

My grandmother was the most caring person I knew. I’ll always remember and cherish when she used to call us every holiday season to remind us which Christmas specials would be on. I’ll miss hearing her voice. I love you, Grammie.

Mrs. Clegg had an amazing memory for the important events and details in the lives of people around her. She always remembered my children with letters including prayers and stories. It showed how much she cared for others. She raised a beautiful family of girls and leaves an amazing legacy of grandchildren!
