Obituary of David Eugene Faucette

David Eugene Faucette, age 90, a resident of Abington, PA, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home on August 27, 2023 after an extended illness that kept him completely bedfast for almost two years. He was the devoted husband of Charlotte Jacobson Faucette. Gene.as he was always called, was born November 24, 1932 in Danville, PA. He lived in Lakewood, OH before attending and graduating from Wheaton College in 1954 when he was also married. He graduated from Faith Theological Seminary with a Master's degree in May 1958. In August, 1958, Gene began his foreign missionary career in Chile, along with his wife and three little boys. After the first term and a few more years in Chile, Gene and the growing family were stationed for 11 years in Kenya, then they completed the foreign career in Chile in 1995. Later, Gene worked for G4S security for five years. In addition to his wife, David Eugene is survived by his five sons, David, Stephen, Daniel, Jonathan and Timothy, and his daughter, Deborah, 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in the Heritage Chapel at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA, where friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions, 1000 Germantown Pike, Suite B6, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 or to Calvary Church at Cottman, 1740 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
