Obituary of Violet Antonia Feden

Violet A. Feden died peacefully at home at the age of 105 on November 29, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, Irving, and is survived by her children: Robert Feden of Alexandria, Virginia; Preston Feden, of Philadelphia: and Deborah Feden with whom she resided in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, as well as seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Violet was born in Chicago, Illinois, lived in New York City during the Depression, and then in Washington D.C. and California. She moved to Pennsylvania in 1957 where she managed a restaurant and earned a Bachelor's degree in 1967 from Kutztown State College. She then worked as a therapeutic activity worker at Wernersville State Hospital until she retired and moved to Allentown in 1984.
She was active with West Park Civic Association and served as a volunteer at Lehigh Valley Hospital until she was 100 years old.
She moved to Elkins Park in 2016 to be closer to her family.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Lehigh County Humane Society, 640 Dixon Street, Allentown, PA 18103 (www.lehighcountyhumainesociety.org) where she found her best friend and loyal protector, Matty.
There will be no services due to COVID.
