James W. McDowell, D.D.S., 87, of Rydal Park died on April 12, 2011. He was the devoted husband of the late Irene Bartelt McDowell. He is survived by his sons; Randal J. McDowell, Esq., Gary W. McDowell, D.D.S. and Roger S. McDowell, D.C.; by his daughters-in-law; Zelia, Dawn and Sheila and by eleven grandchildren. Dr. McDowell maintained a dental practice in Abington, PA and was a member of the Jenkintown Kiwanis Club and a long-time member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be sent to Calvary Presbyterian Church, 405 N. Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090 or to Temple University School of Medicine -Alzheimer's Research, 3500 N. Broad Street, Phila., PA 19140.
