Dorothy Gordon Hanscom, age 93, formerly of Bryn Athyn, died peacefully on October 5, 2014 at Abington Hospital after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard S. Hanscom, an executive with Hanscom Brothers Inc., Bakery. She is survived by two sons, Gordon (Virginia) and Richard (Miriam) Hanscom, five grandchildren, Gordon Hanscom, Jr., Heather Caggiano, Sarah Komorowski, Andrew Hanscom and Elizabeth Hansen and nine great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a graduate of Abington Friends School. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, The Colonial Dames and The Acorn Club. Services will be private.
