RUBY L. RONDEAU, (nee Hilton), age 80, passed away on April 18, 2012 at Meadowood Retirement Community in Lansdale, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Rondeau and the loving mother of Raymond P. Rondeau and Robert W. Rondeau.
Born in Unity, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Ruby St. Germain and the late William Hilton and the sister of William Hilton, Elsie Hilton and Colleen Wingrove and the late Robert (Bob) Hilton. Ruby grew up and then met and married Peter in Toronto, Canada. After starting a family, they emigrated to the US and settled in Abington, Pennsylvania.
Ruby was a past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Old York Road Chapter and past Queen of Allah Temple.
In addition to her sons, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ellen S. Rondeau, by her granddaughter, by her grandson and by 10 nieces and 2 nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 28, 2012, Abington Presbyterian Church, 1082 Old York Road (at Susquehanna Road), Abington. A reception in the Parish Hall of the church will follow the service. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3351 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140 will be appreciated. On-line condolences may be sent by visiting www.baronrowlandfh.com
