Earl Alvin Zettlemoyer passed from this earth, at age 97, on February 18, 2016 at his home in Spring House, PA. He was the husband, for 58 years, to the love of his life, Anna Cole (deceased 2005), Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Ora (Rider) and the late Alvin Zettlemoyer and the father of three children: Lana Raybold, wife of Robert Raybold, Dale Zettlemoyer (deceased 1976), and Linda Peddigree. Grandfather of Chris Raybold, Michelle Trott, and Megan Peddigree Abbott, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Ruth, and brother, Harold. Earl was a graduate of Muhlenberg and Lehigh Universities. He worked as an Engineer/Manager for Corning Glass, The Budd Company, and Amtrak. He was a proud Eagle Scout and continued to serve as troop leader through the 1960's. Music was always his passion and he directed the Hal Miller Big Band Orchestra in the 1940's. A member of Carmel Presbyterian Church for many years, he served as a Trustee and Treasurer. He loved hunting and fishing, camping, raising dogs, playing the vibraphone and pipe organ, photography, repairing anything, and woodworking. He and his wife traveled to Cuba, Bermuda, Mexico, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Hawaii, France, Germany, Canada, the US East Coast and Western National Parks. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and will be missed by his family – the focus and joy of his life. There will be a celebration of his life in the Spring.
