Obituary of Charlie Weiss
Charles William Weiss, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 31, 2026.
Born on March 30, 1938 in Philadelphia, Charlie was the son of the late Charles Segar Weiss and the late Margaret Taylor Weiss and brother of the late Dorothy Bell Weiss.
He married Carole M. Douglas in 1964, they raised three children together and resided in Willow Grove, PA and Maple Glen, PA and for the past 11 years enjoyed their life and home in Talamore in Horsham.
Charlie attended Northeast High School in Philadelphia and earned degrees from Temple (Engineering) and Drexel (Business Management).
He proudly served with the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1961.
Early in his career, he worked for IBM and later founded Continental Computer Associates. Charlie was the founder and CEO of Willow Associates in Elkins Park, PA and provided financial services to the Philadelphia community for over 40 years. Additionally, he owned Banner Travel Agency.
Charlie was a member of the Manufacturers' Golf and Country Club for over 50 years. He spent many a weekend there golfing and dining with friends and family and enjoyed spending afternoons at the pool with his grandchildren. He took pride in various tournament wins, including the father son championship. He even recorded 2 holes-in-one during his golfing career.
Charlie enjoyed many summers with family and friends in Avalon, NJ and was happiest hosting many holiday events year after year. Charlie was also an avid skier, and hosted many trips for family and friends in Killington, VT.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses and his grandchildren: Craig and Sara Weiss and their children: Julia, Charlie, Jack and Ryan; Darren and Marcia Weiss and their children: Ethan and Kasey and Melanie and Rick Frick and their children: Lilly and Carter.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:45 AM on June 19, 2026, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1571 Temple Drive, Maple Glen, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 – 11:30 AM. A reception will follow at Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club. Interment will be private.
