Ann Sliski Mark passed away on Thursday June 12. 2025. She was the beloved wife of George Edward Mark III with whom she was married for 43 years. She was an irreplaceable partner and life's guide of her husband and their children, Paul R. Mark and Alexander D Mark.
She was born in Cambridge Massachusetts September 15, 1951 the daughter of Helen and Daniel Sliski and was educated at Harvard School of Public Health where she earned a Doctor of Science degree.
She met George at the National Cancer Institute and they were married two years thereafter.
Her personnel skills were put to work as the main executive coordinator of the research conducted by the laboratories of Robert Gallo that lead to the discovery of the HIV virus.
Two children followed. The family moved to Princeton Junction, NJ as George was hired by the Merck Research Laboratories. Initially she decided to stay home so as to raise their children but the draw of a teaching molecular biology at Princeton University as their outreach coordinator drew her into the challenge.
Ten years later, the family moved to Wrightstown, PA and she involved herself in a dedication to the roles of township planning commission member and head of the Zoning review board. She was a critical voice in the growth of the township. Her dedication to excellence extended to everyday interactions as she expected the best of all relationships. She was loved by all.
Words cannot describe the enormity of her warmth and caring for friends and family. She will be extremely missed, she gave without taking. Ann will be remembered for her kind heart, generous nature and love for her family and friends.
Services will be held privately.
