Lou and I became friends through the Questers. We had adventures in our travels to the International Quester Conventions especially in Raleigh N C.
I was Jeff to her Mutt!
We visited in her lovely garden I in awe of her talent. I remember the tomato seeds drying in a dish on the window sill.
Grateful for the big and little blessings we shared.

I was saddened to hear of Lou’s passing. I’ve known this amazing lady since I was a little girl growing up in Glenside. Later on, she became my neighbor on Edgley Ave. She was always so kind, generous, and clearly exhibited the love of Christ toward others. I used to stop by, sometimes with my little dog Max, for visits where we would chat about so many things. I loved the many flowers she grew in her front yard. So colorful! At the holidays, we exchanged cookies, other treats and cards. During the summer, I’d drop off some fresh sweet breads, made from the zucchini I grow in my garden. Lou was always so welcoming! She personified the very nature of all that was good in the early boomer generation with inherently traditional values of humility and respect for others. I will truly miss walking past her house and waving hello or stopping by for a visit. I pray peace and comfort for her lovely family. Please know that Lou made a special difference in my day to day life for many years. She was indeed a treasure! - Sincerely, Joy “Hadly” Dutka
