Obituary of Wayne Schoenhut

Stuart Wayne Schoenhut, age 77, a resident of Philadelphia, died on April 20, 2025. Born in Abington, PA on February 27, 1948, he was the first and only beloved son of the late Jean McNabb Schoenhut and the late and Stuart Schoenhut. He was gentle and kind, a man of few words who paid attention to everything. Wayne enjoyed the simple things in life such as an old movie especially westerns, good food and sweet treats. When younger, his favorite treat was a caramel – the square ones and there was no substitute. Wayne preferred to be well dressed in his younger days and anytime there was a car show in town, Wayne was there. He was ahead of the times as he always required well manicured nails and he would let you know when attention to this was needed. Wayne enjoyed to explore new places and was able to travel to other states including Florida and Maryland. He had a strong relationship with his family and thought of them daily and spoke of them every chance he had. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025, Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Road, Abington where friends are invited to gather from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
