Last visited Uncle Tony with my dad 2 years ago. I'm so glad I was able to bring my dad to visit his brother and be able to bond. I remember my first visit in the US both Uncle Tony and Tita Shiela welcomed me and toured me around Philadelphia. To Uncle Tony, mission accomplished. God speed.

Losing you is my biggest heartbreak for this year. I wasn’t even prepared for it an will never be, the thought of not seeing you in your room laying on the bed or hearing you calling Mel and talking to you again is like a deep stab in my heart. I want you to rest in peace but it’s hard not to think about you no matter what I do I can still hear you telling me not to get married every evening before I leave , all of our shared memory just keep flashing back as if I click the replay button in my brain. If only I knew that you’d be gone , I would have hugged you for a long time before I leave that night. It’s very painful not just for me but also the people that also loved and cherished you. I hope you’ll find peace with him . I will never ever forget about you . I love and miss you!!!!! Mel
My condolences to Marci, licie and the rest of the family

Taken January 2018 in California. First day I met Grandpa Tony, I was 8 years old then. He said he has a surprise gift for me. I got so excited thinking he will give me a toy. He opened his bag and gave me a world map. He taught me the different continents and said I will be able to go around the world if I will be a doctor like him.
I will miss you Grandpa.
Lots of Love,
Mateo Año Mendoza

We were so sorry to hear of Tony's passing.
We have some wonderful memories of Tony & Sheila's visits to Portlaoise, Ireland and our visits to Philadelphia.
My earliest memory was in 1985 staying in Montgomery Avenue, Tony would come in from the Hospital, go out to his rose garden and then cook fabulous meals for family & friends.
He loved life, garden, cooking and most dearly his family. His life changed the day his dear wife Sheila passed suddenly.
Licia, Marcie & family may the wonderful memories of your Dad help you through the sad & difficult weeks ahead and knowing he is now united with his beloved Sheila.
He always thought of everyone else first and was one of Life's True Gentlemen.
May Tony now Rest in Peace.

Dr Ano was one who punctuates his sentences with "please" and "thank you". He was a stickler for perfection and a man with great sense of humor. I recall on his 94th birthday and when people asked " how old are you today".... despite his fragility and down moment....his response was "49 years"....some thought he was confused....but some others caught the joke....that was the humor in him!
God rest your sweet soul.....I sure will miss you.

I always felt privileged to have Tony as a brother in law and most importantly as a friend.
He was truly beloved by the Kirwan family, and my parents absolutely thought the world of him from the first day they met him. He and my father bonded instantly over their love of gardening and roses.
He was incredibly kind and caring of my mother until her death in 1978. He did everything he could to get her the best of care and loved her unhesitantly.
I will miss Tony as will Ramona who shared so much with Tony and Sheila.
