Obituary of Rosemarie Ayoub

Please share a memory of Rosemarie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rosemarie Ayoub, the precious and dear wife of Norton Ayoub for 69 years, passed peacefully into glory on the morning of February 4, 2025. At the time of her death she was a resident of Southampton Estates. Rosemarie Ann McNally was born in Philadelphia on May 29, 1934, the daughter of John and Eileen (Brennan) McNally. She never knew her father, was reared by her strong mother and her loving uncle, Fernan Brennan, a Catholic priest who helped to cement Rose's faith. Reared in the Catholic faith, Rose ultimately united with the United Methodist Church when she united with Norton in marriage on June 4, 1955. She was a member of Logan United Methodist Church, Fox Chase United Methodist Church, and finally Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church. Rose cast a large net in her lifetime: giving to, loving, and caring for people. Anyone who was blessed to have met her became a part of her world; she cared about everyone she met. From the landlords whom Rose and Norton rented their first apartment from and where three of their four children were born 68 years ago to those whom Rose encountered as late as last month at Southampton Estates, she loved and cared for them all. She made each and every person – family, neighbors, friends and fellow residents-- a part of her world. Everyone who knew Rose, most notably her four children and their spouses: Barbara Wojciechowski, George (Elizabeth) Ayoub, Joseph (Linda) Ayoub, and Linda (Mark) Bernhauser will miss her heartfelt concern and her tender heart. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert, her Uncle Fern, and a great grandson, Warren. Leaving behind to continue her legacy are her children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren (Stephen Wojciechowski, Brad Wojciechowski, Kathleen Wallace, Stephanie Ayoub, Brandt Ayoub, Kira Hamilton, Joseph Ayoub, Beatrice Ayoub, A.J. Bernhauser, Ben Bernhauser) and spouses, plus 13 great grandchildren, many of whom she saw regularly. Rosemarie leaves a legacy of hospitality, a genuine concern for people, and a few really good recipes! And, on February 4, 2025, she was there "when the roll was called up yonder," which is a balm to her family's soul. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the Auditorium of Southampton Estates, 238 Street Road, Southampton, PA where friends will be received after the service. Interment will be private.
